Adventure of the Week - Mam Tor
.. Did you know we love adventures?!
Each week, I will be sharing with you one of our favourite, most recommended countryside walks so you can hopefully discover new places you may have not been 🤞 All walks have been trailled by my 10 year old German Shepherd - so if she can do it, you can do it! 🐾
This week, i've chosen to share with you our No.1 favourite walk in the Peak District - Mam Tor! ⛰🎒
➡️ Starting from the Mam Nick National Trust Car Park, it will take you 25 minutes to reach the summit. (15 minutes if you're showing off! 🏃🏼♀️) Be prepared to feast your eyes on some of the most amazing panoramic views of Edale and Hope Valley! Once at the top, you can either squander a little time and have a picnic with a view - or you could embark on a walk across the ridge which will take you for miles, depending on how far you choose to go. It's a beautiful walk with spectacular rolling hills and shouldn't be missed. It is currently rated No.10 on ITV's Top 100 Walks in Britain!
Just incase you missed it on the way there - i would also highly recommend a drive through Winnats Pass! It's a beautiful, picturesque, limestone valley where you'll feel like you're in the middle of a fairytale... (or maybe that's just me? 🤔😁)
🚗 From Garforth to Mam Tor: 1 hour and 30 minutes.
🚘 Car Park: Mam Nick National Trust Car Park.
Pay and Display: 4 hours for £3.50. All day for £5.00.
Happy exploring! 😎
